We want to present you the fourth speaker of „The COINS 2018” conference – Ludmilla Morozova-Roche – who is a Professor in Medical Biophysics, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Umeå University, Sweden.

Before receiving her PhD, Ludmilla resided as a research fellow in Max-Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Department of Cell Biology and worked together with Prof. Gunter Gerisch in Martinsried, Germany. She received her fisrt PhD in Institute of Biophysics, Pushchino, Russia. Her research was focused on “alpha-lactalbumin as metal-binding protein”. In the following years she expanded her expierence in a lot of different universities scattered around the Europe, including Leuven University in Belgium, Biological Research Center of Russian Academy of Sciences in Pushchino, Russia and department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics in Umeå University, Sweden.

After 2009 she focused on editorial activity and became a member of scientific networks and committees such as “Biochemical Imaging Platform” in Umeå, Physical Chemistry Congress in Belgrade and Neuronal Network, NNU, Umeå. She is also a Swedish representative in the EU Network “Atomic Force Microscopy to NanoMedicine and Life Sciences”. Along with these activities she also was an organizer of 1st and 5th Scandinavian amyloid conferences “Amyloid diseases and amyloid mechanisms” (ADAM 5).

During her most active research period she has published 126 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 1 book, 4 book chapters, 9 popular articles, 2 patents and above 230 presentations at the scientific conferences. What is more, she’s an editor of scientific journals such as “Protein J”, “PeerJ”, “Disease”, “Cell Biochemistry and Biophysics” and etc. Liudmilla is also a scientific reviewer for international journals such as “Nature Structural and Molecular Biology”, “Journal of Molecular Biology”, “Biochemistry” and others.
